ABOUT LEAH NORWOOD

Poem by: Leah Jah. Norwood -

The things that I'll say when the drapes are snatched away
The facial expression paintings of disbelief, bewilderment, disgust and shock will disarm you
A cold stare and dry joke and a punch to your throat
Oh Leah
A plain canvas to the eyes of on lookers a distressed red streak on a black- white painted slip gown to those looking from above
Oh Leah
How could one hide their truth so desperately... There is a toll for this attraction id like to say if I had the courage to say it.... Sober
You gotta be as tough as nails on chalk board walls as I am and even softer than black boys melanated cheeks with dried tears than I am
Oh hell but for what?
I'll tell ya, for the sake of being a mystery it's all fun and games till you loose yourself within the crevisis of your own disguise or armory
Im a jack of all trades and sometimes courageous and sometimes afraid, cliche and dry as cotton mouthed kissed lips. But there's a side you won't see till I want you to see
I'll hide it in the lyrics of someone else's song or in the bite of my inner cheek and hand resting my face by the grace of my knees
I dont know where im going with this or who im trying to be but there is more that meets the eyes of you and me....
